WF Maschinenbau experienced great success at this year´s China International Machine Tool Show (CIMT). The German machine building company saw particularly strong demand for customized solutions in chipless metal forming especially for applications in e-mobility, pressure vessel manufacturing and defense technology. „We were surprised by how specific the project inquiries already were at the show. Especially Chinese OEMs and suppliers are looking for tailored systems that seamlessly integrate into their existing production processes.“, reports Mario Anton,Area Sales Director, at WF Maschinenbau. A highlight at the booth was the world´s most powerful metal forming machine, which combines all chipless forming technologies in a single system. „The fact that it can be used for such a wide range of end products was a dominant topic in many conversations. Presenting the machine concept directly in China for the first time drew a lot of attention,“ Anton continued. Despite the overall cautious economic climate in China, a clear investment trend is emerging – particularly in sectors considered strategically relevant. Hight interest was shown in solutions for:

• E-mobility
• Safety-critical components in defense technology
• Gas and pressure vessel industry.

The company sees the exhibition results as a clear affirmation of its strategy to act in a highly customer-specific manner and is optimistic about developments in China.
