Two leading specialists in chipless metal forming have signed a joint venture agreement: the European company WF Maschinenbau and its U.S. joint venture partner MJC Engineering. The joint venture partners specialize in custom built and standard machines for automotive, aerospace, defense, and energy applications. The partners sell and service their machines worldwide and both have many decades of experience in their respective business.

This year, WF Maschinenbau & Blechformtechnik GmbH & Co. KG celebrates its 50th anniversary. Since its founding in 1974, the company has grown from a regional machinery manufacturer to a global leader in metal forming technologies. Under the anniversary motto “From Sendenhorst to the world: 50 years of success,” WF Maschinenbau reflects on an impressive history of achievement and offers a glimpse into the future.

The Sendenhorst-based mechanical engineering company WF Maschinenbau und Blechformtechnik GmbH & Co. KG is celebrating the 30th anniversary of its pioneering hub patent. Originally developed for the automotive industry, this innovative technology continues to set standards in precision, efficiency and sustainability in the production of pulleys, clutch parts and transmission components.

With effect from July 31, 2023, Dr. Bodo Fink, Managing Director and CEO, withdrew for private reasons from the management of WF Maschinenbau und Blechformtechnik GmbH & Co. KG. The previous Managing Director and CTO Christian Malkemper took over the sole management of the company as of 01.08.2023.

WF has built for a customer from the aerospace industry a worldwide unique flow-forming machine for the hot forming of special steels, such as Inconel 621, under inert gas atmosphere.

At WF, it was already recognized 10 years ago that e-drives would play a significant role in the future. Since then, the R&D Center of WF Maschinenbau has been developing various flow-forming processes for the production of components for e-drives on its test machines.

Shareholder Heiko Ohlscher will leave the Board of Management and the operational activities of WF Maschinenbau for personal reasons with effect from 31 December 2020.

Marco Drees has been appointed Area Sales Manager for Europe and Turkey. In this capacity, Drees now bears immediate responsibility for all Marketing and Sales activities for WF forming machines and services.
